What are Scouts?

Scouts are young people aged 10½ to 14 who are ready to take on bigger challenges, build their independence and explore new opportunities. At 7th Littlehampton Air Scouts, our Scout Troop helps young people develop confidence, resilience and leadership skills while taking part in exciting adventures.

Every week, Scouts work together to learn new skills, tackle challenges and push themselves beyond their comfort zones. It’s a supportive environment where young people can make friends, take responsibility and discover what they’re capable of.

What do Scouts do?

No two weeks are the same. Scouts enjoy a wide range of activities, including:

  • Hiking, camping and outdoor adventures
  • Learning practical skills such as cooking, first aid and navigation
  • Team challenges and problem-solving activities
  • Community projects and helping others
  • Developing leadership and teamwork skills
  • Earning badges and awards
  • Taking part in camps, competitions and special events

Whether they’re exploring the outdoors, learning a new skill or taking on a leadership role, Scouts are encouraged to challenge themselves and achieve their personal best.

  • Led By: Friendly, trained volunteers who support and encourage every young person
  • Uniform: Teal green Scout shirt or blouse and the 7th Littlehampton Air Scouts necker
