What are Beavers?

Beavers are young people aged 6 to 8 who enjoy having fun, making friends and trying new experiences. At 7th Littlehampton Air Scouts, our Beaver Colony gives young people their first experience of Scouting, helping them build confidence, develop new skills, and enjoy exciting adventures.

Every week, Beavers meet together to play games, tackle challenges, learn about the world around them, and work as a team. It’s a safe, welcoming environment where young people can grow, have fun, and be themselves.

What do Beavers do?

No two weeks are the same. Beavers enjoy a wide range of activities, including:

• Outdoor adventures and exploring local green spaces
• Games, crafts, and creative projects
• Learning practical skills and simple cooking
• Community activities and helping others
• Science, nature, and discovery activities
• Earning badges and awards
• Taking part in camps, sleepovers, and nights away

Whether they’re building something new, learning about the environment, or trying an activity for the first time, there’s always something exciting to get involved in.

Beaver Colony Information

• Age Group: 6 to 8 years
• Meetings: Tuesdays 6:15-7:30 pm weekly during term time
• Location: Peter Smith Scout Hall, Southfields Road, Littlehampton, BN17 6AF
• Led By: Friendly, trained volunteers who help every young person achieve their best
• Uniform: Light blue Beaver sweatshirt and the 7th Littlehampton Air Scouts necker
